Almost been a week now in port lions. We have just been getting the boat more and more prepared to start fishing in another week. We are going to be docking the boat on the beach in the next couple days during low tide to buff, sand and put some zinc strips on the bottom of the boat. The low tide will give us around 6 hours to work then water from the high tide will come up and we will bring the boat back to port.
I have been learning a ton about fishing since being here. It's definatly goin to be an adventure when we go out.
I have been documenting everything we have been doing on film and putting together when we have some down time. Everyone here is super excited about it and looks like it's going to be a full on documentary about the life of fishermen. The fun times, hard times, downtimes, it will basiclly show from start to finish what goes on during commercial salmon season for most fisherman
There are about 30 crews here in port lions so it should be pretty interesting
There was a wild storm the other night which brought a sail boat into the harbor for safety. The couple was sailing the world from Australia. pretty awsome meeting them.
The weather here is crazy. One minute it's pouring rain the next it's sunny and bluebird.
