So here I lay in my little bunkbed on a boat that will be my home for the next 3 months. I am going to be journaling on my iPhone and pasting into my blog. So if spelling and all that jazz isn't perfect that's just how it is 

We have been here in port lions for 2 days. We have been just cleaning and getting the boat set up to go out on the 9th of June to start fishing. The crew consists of myself, henry the captain, bowman the skiff man and Larry.  Awsome group of guys to go fishing with. All are hard workers and love adventure. 

We all went out last night and caught some fresh salmon and had a BBQ on a cliff overlooking the ocean.  While we were eating and hanging out one of the locals drove up on a fourwheeler and asked us what we do to afford beach front property.   Pretty funny. 

All the locals that I have met have been super nice. Everywhere u go they are always smiling and wave even if you don't know them. 

Port lions is a fishing town that consists of about 200 people. There is no grocery store, no walmart, only a library, post office, a couple lodges and a bunch of scattered houses. You have to bring everything u need to live or work here and if u need something u have to have it flown or boated in since we are on an island in the ocean 

Most people think I'm crazy for leaving to go fish but I love it. Yea its hard work and you are gone from your comfort zone for long periods of time but there is a peace  that you can only understand if you do it. 

I believe after the summer I will be not going back to my and most people's routines in life. I am not a guy that cAn work 9-5 and live in a white picket house. I want to live somewhere I can help people that never in there dreams could have what we almost every day take for advantage.

There is so much more to life then owning the biggest house, the nicest toys, the fastest car. When we die where does it go. Not with us that's for sure. When I'm on my deathbed and looking back I would like to look back at bigger and better accomplishments then those things. 

I believe everything that haS happened  to me in my life has formed me into who I have become and who I will become. God has a plan for each and everyone of us and if we take the the goods and bads and learn from them we all can accomplish amZing things.
